Wedding Beauty Preparation Timeline - 4 Months

The real countdown has begun!! I’m sure all the pieces are falling together and you’re getting more and more excited with each day passing by! Here’s your to do list now that you’re 4 months out from your wedding day:

  1. Look up inspiration photos for hair and makeup and narrow it down to 8 max

  2. Finalize your hair color schedule

  3. Order extensions if you’re getting them (we have a partnership with Luxy Hair to give you $20 off your purchase of $80+ with the code ‘LX-LHNBEAUTY’ !!)

  4. Shop for accessories and order them if you can

  5. Schedule an exfoliating facial

Looking for inspiration photos is probably going to be the most overwhelming thing from this list. There are millions of photos on every social media platform you can imagine, so finding ones that you love will be hard (especially if you’re an indecisive person!). Here are my main suggestions to help you narrow down your inspiration photos:

  • find photos that resemble your own hair color + eye color/shape; this will help you give the most accurate feel of how it will translate on yourself

  • start with thinking what look will compliment your dress, your own style, and theme; this can help you narrow down the millions of options out there

  • look for photos that you do not like as well; this can help communicate to your artist what you’re truly looking for

  • keep your photos to 4 loves and 4 hates (8 total photos), having too many photos can confuse your artist and not give your artist the clear vision you’re wanting

If you’ve been on a regular color schedule, then this will be easy. If you can -time out so that your hair color will be fresh before your trial and wedding day. Being able to have them fresh both times will again -help you envision the look best for how it will turn out on the wedding day!

If you’re getting extensions, its important to try to have them. before your trial. Your artist can install them and tell you if they need to be cut or colored to be blended better with your natural hair. You will want time for the extensions to arrive and to have to do any fixes to help with the blend.

Shopping for accessories is not necessarily needed, but if you do want something in your hair it would be a good idea to have your accessories available for your trial. You can play around with placement or different hair accessory options for the hairstyle you want. I would encourage you to also shop for jewelry options so you can have them for your trial.

If you haven’t seen an esthetician yet, now would be a good time. You can schedule a detox / clarifying facial to help clear out your pores and bring anything to surface. I would suggest doing it now rather than waiting for the wedding day for anything to pop out.

As you can tell, the 4 months mark is really to prep you for your trial that you will be having soon. Here at LHNBEAUTY, we will reach out around the 3 month mark to get your trial scheduled right online! Cheers to almost getting married!!
