MAKEUP TIPS

  • Please come with a fresh, clean face if possible (moisturizer is totally fine). If you can’t don’t worry -your makeup artist will have some makeup remover ready for you!

  • Have 4 inspiration photos max. Make sure you know what you love about each photo and communicate that with your artist. Having too many photos can cause more confusion than clarity, so keep it to 4!

  • In turn, also provide some photos of makeup that you don’t like (again, keep this at a max of 4 photos). This will help your makeup artist to fully understand your preferences.

  • If you have any allergies or sensitivities to latex or talc (for example), please let the artist know before starting your session.

  • With finding inspiration photos, its best to try to find photos that have similar features to you (think eye color, eye shape, face shape, even hair color) -this will help you get the best idea of how it would translate on you the best.

HAIR TIPS

  • Please come with 100% clean and dry hair. I would try to avoid any type of product if possible, just so your artist can fully understand what your hair texture feels like before anything has been applied to it.

  • Again, have the max of 4 photos you love and 4 photos you dislike.

  • Please be sure to let your stylist know if you have any sensitivities to any products.

  • Try to find inspiration photos that best match the hair color and facial features you have!

general tips

  • The most important thing is to please speak up if you are not liking or are feeling unsure about the look. You are the one that is wearing this makeup look and hairstyle, we want you to love it!

  • Gratuity is not included in our pricing, I am a firm believer that a tip is earned. So if you are feeling generous please have cash or venmo ready!

  • Take lots of photos and have fun!

IMPORTANT Reminders

While we all love Pinterest for all things wedding inspiration, it’s important to remember that many of the photos you see are filtered in some way shape, or form! If it’s not a photo filter, it’s probably a real life cheat (think extensions, or a bun foam!). Some hairstyles will require hair extensions or highlights and makeup is not magic (even though I wish it was)! Your artist will take your inspiration photos to fit your hair color/texture and face shape into consideration -thus creating a look that’s truly made for you!

Remember that your artist will talk you through what will be required to achieve the look you’re wanting. Our goal is always to make sure you will love the look you both collaborate on. Have fun and again, remember to speak up and let your artist know your thoughts and feelings!
